ALEX BAWN TATTOO ARTIST

The idea for the film began when I came across Alex's Instagram page by chance (@alexbawntattoo).

Bowled over by her distinctive and intricate style of tattooing that has attracted the attention of tens and thousands of followers the World over - I got in touch with a treatment and was pleased Alex was keen to be involved with the project.

Approaching fellow friend and filmmaker Harry Woollacott to direct the film we soon began planning and trading ideas to create a subtle portrait featuring Alex and her craft.

To complete the team, Daryl Boyden-Watts soon got on board production as assistant camera and our small crew of three set off in the early hours to travel from London to the Midlands - completing production in one full day.

Harry and I were tasked with editing the footage following the successful shoot and were soon joined in the studio by Joshua Warren applying the final grade to the film.
